Get DirectionsAbout La Macumba Music Latino bar
La Macumba is a compact, mostly‑Latin music bar on Anděl, about 100 m from the Anděl metro. The room is small: the DJ spins from one corner, the bar sits in the opposite corner, and tables are shoved to the sides to free a tight dance floor that fills quickly. Music is strictly Latin, salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton with occasional kizomba/zouk, and DJs run every night from about 21:00.
Expect a locals-and‑Latino crowd rather than tourists; the venue runs regular salsa classes during the week and turns into a social night after the DJ starts. The bar opens from 18:00 and the floor usually peaks late; Friday and Saturday commonly carry a 200 CZK cover (cash only, often including a drink) and there’s a small coat check fee. Because the space is small it gets crowded fast on weekend nights, arrive early if you want room to practise or choose a midweek DJ night for more space.
