Salsa & Bachata at Bondi Pavilion, Sydney

You can drop into a free, beachside social at the Bondi Pavilion every Sunday (5:00–21:00), the festival-style space is outdoors on the pavilion esplanade, so the sea is part of the backdrop. The weekly listing calls it “Social Dance Bondi”; it’s run by Feel Free Dance Studio and is explicitly free, early-evening and family- and community-oriented.

If you want class time, Feel Free runs weekday classes at the Pavilion’s High Tide Room on Tuesdays: Salsa Intro 18:15, Salsa 19:00 and Bachata 20:00. No partner is required, classes and socials use partner rotations, and the school advertises free-trial spots for absolute beginners. Because the social finishes at 21:00 it’s an earlier option than most club nights, so plan transport accordingly and expect a casual, beachside crowd rather than a late-night club scene.
