Where to dance salsa in Prague in 2026: La Macumba in Anděl has Latin nights Monday to Saturday from 9 pm, free Monday to Thursday. Days, prices, hours.

By Colin · · Updated · 5 min read

Prague's weekly salsa runs through one address: La Macumba Music Latino bar in Anděl, where a DJ plays salsa, bachata and kizomba from 9 pm, Monday to Saturday. Monday to Thursday is free. Friday and Saturday cost 200 CZK and run an hour longer. The bar is closed on Sundays. It sits about 100 m from the Anděl metro station on line B.

This guide is deliberately compact, because the verified Prague scene in our salsa listings is compact: every weekly social we currently list happens at this one bar. For a visitor that has a real upside. You learn one address, one metro stop and one start time, and you can dance every night of your stay except Sunday.

La Macumba: One Bar, Six Nights of Latin Music

La Macumba Music Latino bar at Štefánikova 230/7 in Anděl opens at 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, and the DJ starts at 9 pm. The bar's weekly program lists salsa, bachata, kizomba and merengue. On Sundays it is closed unless it announces a special event. The photo at the top of this guide shows one of the bar's DJs at work.

Two practical things to know. The bar asks for neat clothing at the door. And cards are only accepted at the bar for amounts over 100 CZK, so carry some cash on any night, and only cash on Friday and Saturday.

Monday to Thursday: Free Latin Nights

From Monday to Thursday, entry is free. The DJ starts at 9 pm and the bar closes at 3 am. The bar describes Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as salsa, bachata and kizomba nights, which makes Monday a genuinely low-commitment start to the dance week.

If bachata is your main style, the same nights are your calendar too: see the bachata events in Prague page for the same socials filtered by style.
