Get DirectionsAbout Fish Lane Town Square, South Brisbane (under the railway overpass)
Fish Lane Town Square is an outdoor, under-the-railway plaza that runs a free Sunday kizomba meet-up, not a club night but a public space where people dance around a corner bar. The square is paved in red brick with timber accents and planted with monsteras and tree ferns; a small kiosk/bar (Kiki) anchors one corner. There’s no door, no cloakroom and trains pass overhead, so expect street noise and passers-by.
For dancing that means a flat, non-sprung surface and an informal floor the group clears around the kiosk; wear shoes that pivot on brick. The social is listed on Instagram and appears free; bring money for drinks. If rain or strong wind is forecast the meet can thin or cancel, check the organiser’s page before you go.
